Who we are

Founded in 2005 in Kisii County, AIPeC Kenya is a community-based organization dedicated to promoting governance, human rights, and peacebuilding. Originally formed as a youth interest group, AIPeC was officially registered as a self-help group in 2008 and upgraded to a community-based organization (CBO) in 2022. We focus on the progressive realization of economic, social, and civil rights by building the capacity of decision-makers and citizens—particularly minorities, people with disabilities (PWDs), adolescents and young persons (AYPs), senior citizens, and vulnerable individuals.

We aim to empower communities to actively participate in advocacy, governance, peacebuilding, and human rights initiatives. We also focus on crucial areas like sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), citizen accountability audits, the budget process, public participation, civic education, mental health, health education, climate justice, food systems, and economic empowerment. We influence policy processes by monitoring state actors’ performance and demanding accountability.

Our Strategic Goal

By 2027, we aim to contribute towards sustainable community development in Kisii County and its surrounding regions, focusing on advocacy, good governance, quality health, education, food security, human rights, and accountability.

Our Mission

To bridge the human right gaps in communities through capacity building/empowerment, community dialogue, lobbying, advocacy and mentorship for sustainable development.

Our Vision

Create an informed, cohesive, peaceful and developed society..

Core Values

Accountability

AIPeC Kenya reflects accountability in terms of ethics and governance, equated with answerability, blameworthiness, liability, and the expectation of account-giving. As in an aspect of governance, it has been central to discussions related to problems in the public sector, nonprofit, private, and individual contexts.

Integrity

Our organizational integrity requires that organizations do not act in a purely opportunistic manner, but rather align decisions and actions to be consistent with their espoused social values and demonstrate value-attuned responsiveness to their external environment.

Empowerment

In AIPeC Kenya, Community empowerment refers to the process of enabling communities to increase control over their lives. "Communities" are groups of people that may or may not be spatially connected, but who share common interests, concerns or identities. We also done furniture remodeling, our experts are help you remodeling your broken furnitures with in...

Professionalism

Community service workers are professionals who help people solve issues and find the resources they need. They often work with underprivileged individuals and might focus on a certain community group, such as vulnerable or women or the entire community.
AIPeC Kenya serve as a voice for the community to reach local and national policymakers. We work in psychology, guiding clients to help them with problems such as addiction or challenging social situations. We also organize group activities to encourage and help individuals to become active members of their communities

Commitment

Community service teaches us to be good people in many ways. It is an invaluable experience that not only helps those recipients of assistance but also has the power to transform our own lives and make a positive impact in our local communities.
Some core values include but not limited to; selflessness, generosity, and kindness. By getting involved in volunteer projects or donating our time to charities, we can see firsthand just how much of a positive impact one person/ community can have on the world around them.
Community service has helped us understand the importance of looking beyond ourselves and taking action when it’s most needed. this is from helping children, orphans, old, vulnerable among others to stay safe, healthy and peaceful in our neighborhoods.
